Dust to Data: Film Premier
Have you ever imagined living forever? What about living forever, digitally?
In Spring 2023, we were commissioned by the Universities of Bath and Bristol to facilitate a three-day creative challenge with twenty researchers in cyber-security. The subject: the burgeoning post-life digital industry.
The researchers were first exposed to our eVRafter design fictions (developed in 2022) and then, after lengthy analysis, nurtured to create four separate scenarios and characters that spoke to them from the future.
Each group worked with a Kilter actor across the three days. The actors embodied their characters as they created a monologue script. We then took the monologues away to produce as 4 short films.
The films premiered at Film Bath Festival on 26th October 2023 before going on to feature in the Bristol Futures Festival.
